My last project was a group project....i usually hate group projects btw...

but this one was surprisingly good.

Inspired by the designer Yohji Yamamoto (who is just a genius of a Designer)

we had to create two garments each, all together an eight piece collection.

A while back i did a lil favour for a friend of a friend.....

as I'm an inspiring photographer I thought I would try and perfect my photography skills.

I selected a few of my favs....(keep in mind i am an amateur)

the girl in the red was deffo my favourite she's just sooo cute,

i could style and photograph her all day...

the junior dance class were just sooo cute and amazing,

if i'm honest they were even tighter in dance moves that the senior class...

Definitely a great overall experience, something to add to the folio

I did mention a while back that my friend Seun and myself were involved in styling
for an up and coming film called ZION written by Sheila Nortley.

Being apart of the film was definitely a great experience, really inspiring.
I genuinely cant wait to see the final outcome of everyones hard work.

I met some really interesting people and had some really intense conversations,
all in all it was a great project.

I've finally done my Brandy Braids and i am soooo in LOVE with them.

I wish i hade done them longer and thicker though (mayb next time)

I've had another random moment and decided to get a new hair colour,

i was actually getting bored of myself so yes i've dyed it burgundy.

As expected i'm not automatically in love with it but it will grow on me...hopefully

Im actually surprised that i'm not bald yet, the amount of times i've dyed my hair, its becoming a joke.

At first i cut it into a bob, but that just made me look like a proper moon-face

I ended up making the back really short and keeping the length at the front,

basically one of rihanna's old hairstyles..

I think i finally look my age, i hated it when people assumed i was the younger than 18, even getting ID'ed for the lottery, how embarrassing is that, i had to put a stop to it

This isn't permanent though (obviously) by next week

i'm most likely going to cut int into my signature mushroom hairstyle.

Swap Shop

Yesterday I managed to get to the swap shop i mention a couple weeks ago, i had a lot of unwanted items and thought why not just give it away, didn't really want to swap anything because to be honest thats not really going to help me clear out my room is it.

Im just so over the clutter look, i want everything boxed and put away, i want an EMPTY ROOM, kinda like a white padded room, just bed and walls basically.

enough waffle, i brought my sister along only because i didn't want to travel with two massive jumbo bags all by myself (selfish i know).

It was allot of fun, i just wish more people knew about it, the idea was really good, i guess you just have to advertise in the right places.

i had a peice of the victorian sponge, still havent found anything that tastes better that hummingbirds...

its thing like this that i like, things you can get your hands in and create stuff out of nothing.

basically you had to recreate a piece of jewellery out of old bits n bobs

Icreated this charm bracelet (in less than 10mins i must add),

some people were actually struggling, but fair play, it was harder than it looked

I kind off felt sorry for her, this was like her second attempt, so i decided to help her out

And that was the end conclusion. We both won Spa tickets from lush just for putting bits and bobs together, who would have thought. all in all in was a fab day, hope to see a full house next year though, or even sooner.

I ordered a skirt on ebay the other day, it was described as "faux leather"

when it came it was not even close.

It was actually some sort of synthetic fabric with crocodile print on it

*covers face* (projectile vomit) i know.

Imagine the drop on my face when it arrived, and to make things worse, it looked home made,

i have no problem with home made, but at least make it look professionally done.

anywhoo thats not even the joke,

soo i email the sender to inform her of her INCORRECT DESCRIPTION! and she replies,"well it was stated in the description", *drops mouth* is she silly,

im not one to return things simply because i am just too lazy to go through the whole process, so she's lucky, she won this one, but as i do, I ROCKED IT, but i shall definitely be reselling it on eBay, promptly!

I got a bit excited, i thought i could fly,

if i was s super hero i would be called "mushroom woman" to the rescue

Yes!!! i said i was going to do it and i did it so YES!!!

I finally grew some balls. Im actually really proud of myself and not only did i go through with it,

i bared the pain, and i mean PAIN!!

i got it on my ribs soooo boy, that already means i'm an OG!!

Short Film Showcase Suitcase

I went along to The Short Film Showcase Suitcase the other night to snap some pictures.
Heres a few of my favourites...

it was basically a night of short film, animation and documentary from around the world.

Each film featured in the event was carefully selected out of hundreds of great videos.

The first event was on May 11th 2011 it was a great success with just over 100 people attending.

They're in the process of setting a date for the next night which should be in July. (ill keep you posted)

By far my favourite film was "Procrastination", it made me laugh so hard because i could actually relate to it.

it wasn't the best made film but it was definetly short, sweet and funny, i was ecstatic when i found a clip of it on youtube so u must watch for yourselves ...

This night inspired me to create my own lil short film, i kinda have an idea already....(but ill save that for another day)

Fish pedicure, shopping spree

Shopping was not quite the norm yesterday,

Topshop (oxford street) now have a tiny fish pedicure section on the basement floor,

it's there for a limited period of time so hurry up and get down there if you want baby smooth feet.

I've always wanted it done but never could find the time.

The price is what attracted me instantly, £10 for fifteen minutes and £18 for half an hour. NOT BAD!

At first its quite ticklish and a bit weird because they literally attack! they have no teeth so it doesn't really hurt, i'm not trying to scare anyone, sorry.

And they're not as small as i thought either...you could fry these things

sitting there casually, as you do.

Pedicure over, i met some old colleagues, still stuck in the "Topshop Matrix" as i like to call it.

I Bagged a cute lil top and jeans..and a few other bits n bobs LOVE!!!

Stomp Out Fashion Show

I went along yesterday to the Stomp out Fashion show put together by a friend of a friend sort of thing.

You know what, it weren't too bad, (in comparison to Rip the Runway....sorry but major fail)

it was actually ENJOYABLE

(minus the fact that i was poorly and had to leave almost immediately after)

my rating goes out to Lydia and co.

Im all about presentation every event i go to thats always the first thing i'm looking out for.

Venue, Seating, Music, Lights, space, etc

Organisation follows closely second.

Models, timing... LIITLE things make a BIG difference

Im not claiming to be an EVENT ORGANISER but some thing are just

COMMON SENSE you know what i mean.

Obviously its a fashion show so my eyes are always open to everything when it comes to the clothes/accessories.

(I can spot 3 thread overlocking mistake instead of 4 thread on jersey as fast as you can say UMPALOOMPA)

I must admit not everything was to my personal taste but there were a few things that caught my attention and a few things that had potential if developed a little more.

ANYWHOO enough waffle heres some pictures, see for yourselves.

^^^met some top girls whilst I was taking pics, sooo in order i want those flared trousers and the leather skirt and those high wasted shorts....yes please!

I also met this guy Reese, i actually wanted to steal his jumper,

he reminded me of my friend Larry....must keep in contact...

I went along to a DJ battle on thursday at the bloomsbury lanes in tavistock hotel for the lescratch night to support my girl Petronila (check out her blog...http://malenyaheshima.wordpress.com/)

All in all it was a great night, Petronila WON!!...Obviously, and received a yellow ToyWatch,

(jealous because i had to pay for mine)

and i met some really cool people too.

RIP The Runway....my opinion

Soooo, I went along to RIP The Runway last night to experience what the british version would be like

luckily, i didn't have high expectations so i cant say i was surprised at all.

the presentation, planning, seating, music, colours, layout, not to mention the clothes themselves,

just disappointing to see sooo much flaws and lack of heart and soul that should go into such a big event.

I took some photographical evidence, have a look at the catastrophe for yourselves.

Three words were running through my mind as i was siiting there watching,

"CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP".

Majority of the clothes reminded me of the shop 'RISKY' (projectile vomit)

I say majority because there was a few that weren't too bad
have a look for yourselves.....

Designers who print/embroider logos on a garment should NOT class themselves as designers,

but simply "logo creators"....Simples

Unless your as good as Henry Holland, then don't print, its soo overdone now,

im over it.

and this is what i meant by "Risky, or Clothing Club" back in 2005

printed scarfs.... well its not rocket science

this placing of the print between her legs is just "WRONG", small details make a big difference,

who's gonna buy that if it draws attention to the wrong places,

looks like an infection, highly embarrassing!

I've never in my life seen a cotton playsuit, and thats because cotton isn't water resistant,

i mean...whats the point, like seriously

nice print but the hem on these were not straight at all.

who in their right mind would design such hideous dress, much less wear it,

doesn't even have a lining, you can see right up that poor girls ass

fabric and colour choice can make such a big difference,

these designers need to be schooled.

I was happy to see Master Shortie there, even if it was for a few minutes.

I have to say these bodies did make my night.......hmmmmmm

secret obsession

During the last few years i've had quite a few obsessive moments,

which some people may have noticed *covers face*

there has been times when i was obsessed with

-Jackets and Coats (this ones getting better)

-Cardigans (mainly from Zara, i used be all over that shop like ketchup on chips)

-Bags (not hand bags, wouldn't be caught dead with a hand bag) mainly oversized ones

-Wedge heels (so over that now, sold them all but 2 on eBay)

-Boots (still ongoing, i need help!)

BUT BACK TO MY POINT! whilst i was clearing out my wardrobe, deciding what to get rid of,

it suddenly hit me that i had a secret obsession that i hadn't noticed had grew to such extent.

VINTAGE JUMPERS! "80's n 90's obviously"

it's kind of Sad that it's getting warm now and i'll have all this clutter till next winter, *shakes head*

but what's even more SAD is that i highly doubt i'll still be digging this look...

(thank God for eBay)

trip to camden town

So the first time I ever went to camden it was an awful experience, I was in excruciating pain and for some reason I could smell every possible stench all at once.

Everyone looked like they were about o attack me, I thought i was in a horror movie.

Chinese and indian stalls shouting at me to try their food, it was just one big MESS!!. so for that reason I hadn't visited camden for a really long time.....until 10th of april 2011 that is.

Seun's house, my new partner in crime......(ill save that story for another day)

this time I actually gave in and tried one of the chinese stalls thingymajig in the stables, it was actually not that bad, couldn't finish it though, its sooo filling

Seun found this place where you can actually go and chill, so cool, it has a stripper pole in each barn,

(well their actually scaffoldings, u only notice if you look really closely though)

santa claude butterfly ink

Soooo today was eventful, as some of you may know i'm desperate for some ink

but i just don't have enough balls right now to go ahead and get it over with.

So when my friend claude (aka santa claude) invited me along to his session with another friend of mine nick (aka teddy<<<awesome guy and amazing tattooist) i just had to come and see how its really done.

thats the 1st stage of the butterfly, without the shading,

we took a lil break after that, teddy took a fag and showed me some of his tattoos

so he has two half sleeves, one in colour and the other with no colour

these are the two gipsies teddy is trying to convince me to get on my arm,

looks pretty good, still considering it though

yes that is blood *covers face* that put me right of getting a tattoo, but i guess no pain no gain

On my journeys today i stumbled across an amazing discovery right under my own doorstep.

it all started when i was casually walking down new cross road,

my eyes caught yellow hair

coincidently she was standing right outside a small boutique that i've had
my eye on for quite a while now but never had the balls to go inside and discover what went on.

but today, i'm glad to say, i grew some BALLS people.

OMG, inside is like the perfect fairytale wardrobe, u just want to try everything on,

Apologies for my silence, i'm still alive and kicking,

i just took a last-min break to Mallorca for a couple days, as you do.

i do recommend everyone visits Mallorca at least once in their life,

its such a beautiful place, i stayed at Palma, amazing landscape and amazing architecture.

sadly i didn't bring my SLR cam,( i just didn't trust myself,

i've been loosing a lot of things lately, i cant even talk about it.)

but not to worry, my good friend nana took plenty of pics,

Lately i've been having the urge to get a dimple piercing, not both cheeks though just the one, i know thats weird but i literally would just be satisfied with one, preferably the left side. I don't know what it is but i've always wanted dimples and since i cant afford the surgical procedure i think i'm definitely going to GO FOR IT! just need someone to accompany me for moral support.

random trip to alton towers

I Took a trip to alton towers the other day, (thanks to big sis working at JL).

I've never been before so i was super excited,

at the same time i was super tired from the night before

(i don't recommend, not wise to combine a hangover with roller coasters)

another thing i don't recommend it going for the day,

if u ever wish to go, please stay over. Its literally four hours to get there from london,

that means you spend 8 hours of your day on transport going and coming back :(

we only had four hours in the park meaning everyone was running round like a headless chickens,

I on the other hand was amazed by the scenery and decided to take loads of pics,

i decided to do something today that i don't normally do, i actually went out with my lil sis, and cousin.

obviously i couldn't walk with my sis looking and dressing the way she normally does, so i spiced her up a lil, gave her a new hair do and make up, and loaned her one of my favourite jackets for the day, which is very unlike me i must say

my cousin on the other hand was a lost cause *sigh*

im beginning to take my camera places with me, today i took it along my travel, first stop sahki fabrics in lewisham, i met two really cool shop owners who insisted i took pics of them, even gave me their business cards and all sorts

i witnessed the coolest performance ever in leicester square, a young guy,

goes by the name of R-Tizt, this guys is like supa cool,

hes soo cute, got dimples and a lisp, bonus!! but thats not it, hes a frikin

human beatbox, dancer, actor and model.....booked!

As we all know, London Fashion week as come and gone. I wish i had fabulous front/backstage photos of amazing designers and sneak peaks, But i don't so lets not cry over it.

(the past few weeks have been the most stressed I've ever been in terms of uni, work n life in general.... right! enough waffle now).

However i am well informed and i do have very strong opinions on what i though was hot or not. I could copy n paste stuff of style.com as secondary research like most people do but honestly, i cannot be bothered!

SO, in dew time i shall update my thoughts and opinions on this years Feb Fashion week,

Went to Calais on Monday with a couple peeps, it was actually my first time going to France,

Today was a EPIC, i got to put my camera to professional use FINALLY!!

who else to share it with other than the one and only Seun...

amazing individual....

we were initially meant to set up shoot on top of peckhams car park but..

when we got there it was closed of....

so we travelled to brick lane....

Seun spotted a location on top of a car park, i'm not a fan of hight, but

"a girls got to do what a girls got to do".

New SLR CAM!!

Ok so i'm super excited because i've finally invested in my SLR camera,

i was persuade by the anxious sales assistant to get the Nikon D5000,

had to get a second opinion so i called my friend, Larry and he said go for it so i did

i personally wanted a smaller camera but once i started using my new cam,

i fell in love with the quality and performance.....here are a few pics i took

due to a series of unfortunate events taken place last week, i've been unable to post new looks....sorry guys, basically what happened was.....

i woke up one day went to the toilet as you do.... whilst on the toilet i collapsed on my face...on my FACE!! which caused my two front teeth to go straight through my bottom lip. It wasn't pretty waking up in a puddle of blood all by myself.....

but im ok now, ive been to the dentist to sort out my chipped tooth,

i literally looked like a hillbilly

it wasnt funny, but i still hav to go back to get out some peices of teeth left in my lip, pretty grousum isnt it, i would have taken pics and put them up but ill leave your imagination to run wild......but that was my week,

i did have som good news though, i was pick pocketed the day b4 christmas eve and the TRAMP took my purse, as you could imagine i wasnt happy at all, however, on monday i get a letter from london transport saying they've found something that may belong to me....

so i go along to pick it up, everything is in there except my £10.00

but that was a minior, i was more glad to see my gift cards and Nandoes loyalty card to be honest...

Puffa, Ashish and Tattoos

Well today i was at my high Holborn site which is where i'm gonna be the whole day for every Wednesday of this term *covers face* but i'm over it.

Today i discovered Jill and Nico, two amazing individuals.....

this is Jill she's wearing the very expensive Ashish sequined jumper, i'm super jealous,

Ashish is one of my top 5 designers.

I know that jumper is worth £500 pounds but apparently in went on sale for £150,

i could barely afford he's Topshop collaboration last year much less he's sale items......

I am NOT a huge fan of puffa jackets but Nicos puffa jacket caught my eye, it interpreted a stereotype piece in refreshing new way. i hate to admit it but the quilted puffa jacket is back on the scene. thing is, it is not as we all know it. Akris, Giambattista Valli and Margiels have all added their own twist on them.

Sara's new tattoo is soo cool i just have to put this up, i'm thinking about getting some ink myself not sure what or where though .....hmmm

love this lady gaga tattoo though, sooo sexy, if i'm gonna ink, i'm gonna have to do it big

This lil fella right here is Adrian, he studies womenswear with me at LCF, absolutely HAMAZIN at what he does!! but check out his super cool outfit, loving the bob and glasses (reminds me of a beetle insect). i've accidentally chopped of his floral pumps(i personally think florals are for middle aged women) but boy did he rock it well.

over sized scarves are like my no.1 must haves,

loved this one, she rocked it well with her all black with denim jacket. LOVE

i mean her creepers are bang on point

alright so this is ed, i love the way he effortlessly looks trendy, i say "effortlessly" because he claimed to have put no effort into his attire, (yea right) reminds me of a modern mod...lol get it. LOVE!

This dude is Zorian (apologies if i spelt it wrong) he's the genius behind this ensemble, he describes this as edwardian sheik but i say persian prince. got to say this was by far my best look of the day. i'm purchasing a turban as we speak. ON POINT!

but in fact its actually a very creative headpiece worn by this fabulous individual

Well, today is the day before first day of spring term, which is very exciting because that means that tomorrow is the "first day showoff", thats the show off peaces that students "non-intentionally" conjure up out of their magic wardrobes to wear on the first day back to uni.

kinda pathetic really but thats just what we students do, especially fashion students. but i'm not complaining, this is the perfect opportunity for me to snap some pictures on my iphone, (yes iphone) thats temporary till i get my SLR digital camera,

just not sure what make to get yet though.

enough waffle, ill be sure to upload some pictures tomorrow of my students at their best and any gossip (if any)
